During Johnny Counterfit’s sound check Friday at the Columbia County Fair, concertgoers were already arriving in the grandstand’s infield. Planners, concerned about possible rain, had considered moving the show to Portage High School, but decided to keep it at the fairgrounds after weather forecasts called for rain much later Friday evening.
