UW Health is in talks with the Marshfield Clinic Region of Sanford Health over possibly taking over the Beaver Dam clinics and health care facilities.
Marshfield’s Beaver Dam facilities, including its 48-bed emergency and urgent care center, are part of the potential deal, UW Health spokesperson Emily Greendonner said.
“While these conversations are still in the early stages, both organizations share a commitment to ensuring the Beaver Dam community has access to high-quality, patient-centered care close to home,” Greendonner said. “Exploring this potential partnership provides an opportunity to strengthen local health care for patients and support the long-term needs of the community.”
A deal with Marshfield Clinics would give control of four primary care clinics in Columbus, Horicon and Waupun, and the Beaver Dam medical center and specialty clinics to UW Health.
