Two men who ran as write-in candidates to represent parts of Beaver Dam on the Dodge County Board have won the election.
Robert Ballweg, 62, will be filling the District 32 seat, and Jeff Bierman, 61, will be filling the District 33 seat on the county board.
The two ran write-in campaigns after both seats were left empty.
Ballweg will replace Lisa Derr, who filed non-candidacy papers to announce she wouldn’t seek re-election to the seat representing part of western Beaver Dam. He previously held the position from 2002 to 2015.
Bierman is a Beaver Dam Common Council member and decided on the write-in campaign following the death of Del Yaroch on Feb. 8. Yaroch had served in the District 33 seat, representing an eastern part of the city, since 2020.
