The Columbus Fourth of July committee is keeping a close eye on the weather as forecasts bring concerns about the weather on Saturday night.
“We are watching the weather closely today,” The committee posted on its Facebook page on Saturday afternoon. “It does look like we are going to get a shot of rain or a stray thunderstorm later afternoon/evening. It looks like it will clear out quickly. We plan to have fireworks go on as planned. The night band, Pilot, may start a little late, but we will be rocking.”
The parade, which featured over 100 entries and the carnival has gone on as planned. The festival began on Tuesday and will end on Sunday.
The committee will update its Facebook page if changes do occur to the schedule.
