This will conclude our five stars installments for the baseball season. Here are this week's honorees.
Evan Parsons powers Mauston to a pair of conference wins
Parsons
Mauston had its top offensive performance of the season against Nekoosa on May 12.Â
The timing was perfect for the Golden Eagles, who needed every run to win the high-scoring affair 13-12. Evan Parsons led Mauston's lineup with a team-high three RBIs. Â
"He’s coming up with clutch base hits when needed, especially with runners on base," Mauston coach Ryan Pfaff said. "He has the ability to battle at the plate, even when behind in the count. He’s had a lot of success lately with two strikes on him, showing me that his confidence at the plate has been very high." Â

Wisconsin Dells, which recently won the South Central championship, is two wins shy of finishing off an undefeated run through conference play.
The Chiefs put themselves in that spot with a pair of victories over Adams-Friendship last week.
Henry Grove had a game-high five strikeouts and surrendered just two hits in four innings on the mound May 12. The senior also had an RBI double in Wisconsin Dells' 8-4 win.

Rio notched its first win of the spring Thursday when it traveled to face Montello. The Vikings scored a season high in runs in a 17-1 victory that avenged a 6-2 home loss to Montello on May 11.Â
Miles Hall's two-run single served as the catalyst for Rio's eventual 11-run third inning. The junior finished 2-for-4 with a game-high three RBIs.Â
The Vikings earned another dominant win Saturday, when Hall's four-RBI performance propelled them to a 12-2 win over Parkview. The center fielder homered in the first and fifth innings of the victory.Â
Cyrus Mahoney snaps Baraboo's losing skid
Mahoney
Baraboo was on a three-game losing streak entering its weekend slate, but the Thunderbirds jumped back into the win column Friday, behind the two-way efforts of Cyrus Mahoney.Â
The senior tallied five strikeouts in six innings on the mound while also collecting two RBIs in Baraboo's 5-3 victory over Waunakee.Â
"Cyrus has shown a great deal of focus and his fastball is imposing on the mound, to go with a solid off-speed pitch," Baraboo coach Bryce Ziegler said.Â
Mahoney's RBI double drove in two of the seven runs that the Thunderbirds scored in the first inning against Belleville on Saturday as well. Baraboo cruised to a 13-1 win before defeating West Salem 8-2 in the second half of a doubleheader.Â
"Cyrus has been heating up in all aspects of his game, and I look forward to seeing how he can produce for us down the final stretch," Ziegler said.Â
