Reedsburg Area Medical Center received a Five-Star rating—the highest rating possible—from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, according to a June 30 release.
Nationwide, only 381 of the 4,658 hospitals rated by CMS, about 8.2%, earned a Five-Star Rating, placing RAMC among an elite group of hospitals recognized for excellence in patient care and quality outcomes.
The Overall Hospital Quality Star Rating is based on 46 quality measures publicly reported by CMS and evaluates hospitals across five key categories: mortality, safety of care, readmissions, patient experience, and timely and effective care.
The CMS Star Ratings are designed to help patients, families, and consumers compare hospitals and make informed healthcare decisions. Hospitals receive an overall rating ranging from one to five stars, with higher ratings reflecting stronger performance on quality measures. Earning a Five-Star Rating demonstrates RAMC’s ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional care and achieving the highest standards of quality and patient safety.
