Kendalyn Brickl is a National Honor Society student and a junior at Sauk Prairie High School. For her NHS service project, she crocheted 10 hats for cancer patients at Sauk Prairie Healthcare, according to a May 6 release.
She knew that some cancer patients lose their hair during chemotherapy and often wear hats to cover their heads and keep them warm. She was inspired to crochet the hats because two of her grandparents passed away due to cancer and wanted to give back.
